If you have a  twitter account and you see anything newsworthy, will you tweet about it? If so, will you tweet immediately? If you answered in the affirmative, then you are a Twitness. You witness and then you tweet about it. Aha, we are getting the transparency we crave after all. Okay, so twitness is a word I made up last night as I was falling asleep. But it fits!

I have seen reports of "shutting down" twitter at the OWS protests. First of all, how would that be accomplished? And, can it be shut down forever? If not, what is the point? 

Twitnesses Unite! Put everything out in the light of day for thorough examination by every voter in the land. Talk about Free Press. We The People have never had a more valuable tool. Let's use it!
