When I think about my life, I am moved to weigh what my personal successes have been. Then, I look for a common denominator in that very personal list, and repeat it as often as I can!

I write this now in hopes to remind you of your own personal "wins"  My objective is to direct our thoughts to what "works". No other thing matters. Because if it's broke......We The People will  fix it. We always have and always will.....because we are a United States of America!

If you believe we can succeed through division of our States...YOU ARE MISTAKEN! Who told you some nonsense like that? If that is the lesson being taught, it is a falsehood, pure and simple!

I believe if we ALL use our own individual methods at success...we are assured to be successful!

“People often say that motivation doesn't last. Well, neither does bathing - that's why we recommend it daily.”

Zig Ziglar quotes (American motivational Speaker and Author. )

Well from one whom I suppose considers himself a mediocre success, hard work, a dash of luck and getting a leg up from time to time. But it is different for all I would think.

It sure is, Luther28. Good morning , my friend. As usual, your comments are on point and oh so common sensical!

Thanks for sharing that steely perspective here. Come by anytime!

Do you agree that if we combine all our "different" methods, we will reach any common goal?

Absolutely, contrary to what many claim, none of us makes it on our own although I am sure there are many that think they may. The more pulling together the easier the tow.

There is but one thing we all take with us no matter where we go and that is our reputation. There are many paths to success but one sure way to derail it is to loose your reputation with those around you. If you want to succeed in life, put integrity above all else that you do. Success is not always measured in material things some of the most successful people I know have far less than most, but far greater integrity than many.

Hard personal work, being the best as I could be, not finding excuses such as many find in civil rights and other forms of equality. Accepting the fact that I enjoy the work I do, and the fact that my wife makes more doesn't bother me, nor her.

Finally, I am thankful for those who encouraged me. sacrificed for me. had faith in me - my family, wife, parents teachers yes - teachers). The food stamps I received as a young married just discharged serviceman. All that stinking government assistance that helped me. It does take a village.

Commitment is important to me, It started during my military years. I found that we need battle buddies for camaraderie, support and warning.

Education is critical to success and then it's hard work and plenty of it.

...not finding excuses such as many find in civil rights and other forms of equality.

Finding excuses for civil rights and equality? That's a contradiction in terms. Rights are not excuses, they are inherent and they come with responsibilities. Just because most people choose to hand over their responsibilities to the State, doesn't mean we're all willing to pay for it with our rights. It doesn't have to be one or the other, there's nothing stopping forward progress with civil rights, it's the right to private property. Civil rights is the key, not the opposite. It's the common meeting place and if we don't soon agree where that line is, we're doomed.

The comments here are all in line with success. Usually when the word success is used on The Vine, someone invariably says you cannot quantify success as it is perceived differently from one person to another. My response to this notion is that we can all recognise it when it happens to us or we see it in others. It isn't a 0 to 100% concept but a thing of relative attainment(s).

States rights is a term that becomes more in vogue when our government wants to "control-down" too far and/or when Washington finds itself where it is now. In disarray.

cf, I couldn't agree more that the United States of America, trumps anything akin to the Independent States of America. The latter would mean chaos. Thanks.

Trust, Empower, Delegate. Was the hardest thing for this control freak. Morale, numbers, my time off, all up.

Waking up every morning. If this doesn't happen everything else is moot.
